In this post at Window Tinting Today , The Tint Shop will go through Part 1 basic tools needed for the procedure and preparation of tinting installation. Here we will begin with the variuos types of Sqweegeee Tools
8″ Pro Squeegee Deluxe (AT-064) A “finishing” (installation) squeegee as a ready-to-use assembly. Used to remove application solution from beneath the film during the installation of all film types.
6″ Pro Squeegee Blade (AT-063) 8″ Pro Squeegee Blade (AT-061) Replacement blade to the 6″ AND 8″Pro Squeegee (AT-062) used as a means of removing application solutions from beneath the film during the installation of all film types.
6″ Flatfoot Squeegee Blade (AT-069) 8″ Flatfoot Squeegee Blade (AT-059) Flatfoots are specially angled blades for the Pro Squeegee. The angle is designed to maximize the surface area in contact with the film, thereby removing much more mounting solution than a standard Pro blade with a square edge. These are special order items, please call for availability.
18.5″ Yellow Blade (AT-147) Economy size squeegee usually cut to shorter 4-5″ lengths before use. Used for removal of application solution during the installation process. (Handle sold separately.)
Red Devil Squeegee (AT-033) Angled, high durometer squeegee. Excellent for corners.
Diamond Tip (AT-113)
Hard Card Sharpener (AT-068) This sharpening tool is essential for maintaining the sharpest, smoothest possible edge on any thin, “hard edge” tool. Saves money by extending the life of these tools by more than a hundred-fold. Has replaceable blade: just use a few segments a stainless steel Ofla blade, remove and replace with screw driver underneath. An amazing tool which works like a wood plane.
Contour Squeegee (Soft) (AT-201GRN) This tool automatically spreads out finger tension which makes it the premier applicator for non-flat surfaces. Perfect for automotive and paint protection installations.
Contour Squeegee (Firm) (AT-201YLW) This tool automatically spreads out finger tension which makes it the premier applicator for non-flat surfaces. Perfect for automotive and paint protection installations.

Window Tinting Tools for Installation Prt 2
The Tint Shop takes care in ensuring proper professional and skillful procedure to satisfy the consumers expectations of a talented and artistic installer. Hello everyone , back again at the Tint Shop for our continuation of Window Tinting Tools for Installation. In this post Window Tinting Today will look at various , basic cutting tools and scrapers.Let us start with basic your basic Cutting Tool.
Use this stainless steel knife for film pattern cutting and trimming. Use only stainless steel blades with breakaway points to minimize likelihood of glass scratching.
Olfa Pro Load (AT-PA2) New expert series Pro-Load multi-blade cutter for window tinting can hold up to five blades at a time, giving you 65 new cutting segments per load. Unlike other multi-blade cutters, this cutter allows you to use every segment before disposing – you will not waste blades!
Auto Lock 8 pt. Knife (AT-2105-H1) Heavy-duty knife with breakaway points for use with security films 7 mils or greater.
Olfa Stainless Steel Snap Blades (AT-1145) Replacement blades for standard window tinting installation knives (AT-2103, AT-2109, AT-2107). Stainless steel blades must be used to avoid or reduce the risk of scratching glass. Remember to always use low cutting angles when cutting on glass surfaces. Pack of 50 blades.
Olfa Carbon Snap Blades (AT-2244) Replacement blades for standard installation knives (AT-2103, AT-2109, AT-2107). Be aware that these are not stainless steel. Stainless steel blades must be used to avoid or reduce the risk of scratching glass. Pack of 50 blades.
Some situations may arise where old tint must be removed before new tint can be applied. For this task we incorporate the use of a scraper tool, each has a design purpose.
1″ Heavy Duty Razor Scraper (AT-RS300) This scraper uses standard single-edged razor blades. Excellent for safety, grip strength, and maximum leverage where small blades are needed for film or other glass contaminant removal.
1″ Heavy Duty Razor Scraper (AT-RS300) This scraper uses standard single-edged razor blades. Excellent for safety, grip strength, and maximum leverage where small blades are needed for film or other glass contaminant removal in window tinting
1″ Single Edge Razor Blades (AT-1209) Razor blades can be used alone or with AT-138, AT-212, & AT-199 for necessary glass cleaning/scraping. 100 blades per pack.
1″ Stainless Steel Single Edge Razor Blades (AT-137) Razor blades can be used alone or with AT-138, AT-212, & AT-199 for necessary glass cleaning/scraping. 100 blades per pack.
3″ Triumph Scraper (AT-210) Smaller version of the AT-107; very handy for smaller windows. Works better than the 6″ Triumph for automotive window tinting film removal on side windows. Best used on residential applications for smaller windows. Extremely efficient. Highly recommended.
3″ Triumph Blades (AT-211) For use with the 3″ Triumph Scraper AT-210. 25 blades per pack.
4” Scraper with 6″ Handle (AT-103)
4″ Scraper Blades (10/pk) (AT-105)
6″ Triumph Scraper MK II (AT-107) Scraper used in the first phase of glass preparation when window tinting.. Not for automotive use because of its blade length and inability to conform of compound-curved glass. Light weight, easy to use, and extremely efficient at removing contaminants. Absolutely essential window tinting tool for all flat glass installers. Use a 4-inch scraper like AT-103 or AT-104 to strip old film first, then use this scraper for final window preparation (adhesive removal. “Class A” recommendation!)
6″ Triumph Scraper w/ Cover (AT-107PC) Known as the “Triumph 2000,” this new version has all the features of the standard AT-107 but now has a built-in protective cover that can be operated with a flick of the thumb. No more fumbling with a separate blade cover. Safer and more convenient, especially when doing ladder work. Great for regular window cleaning, but not recommended for stripping off old film.
6″ Triumph Blades (AT-108) For use with any of the 6″ Triumph Scrapers. 25 blades per pack.
6″ Stainless Steel Triumph Blades (AT-108SS) Stainless steel version for use with any of the 6″ Triumph Scrapers. 25 blades per pack.
